Walk In Memory (Dorset)
An unforgettable day
We are pleased to be organising a very special event on Sunday 29th September, which is coming to our Church Knowle centre in Dorset for the first time ever.
We'll be hosting a Walk In Memory to raise funds for the rescue animals in our care, whilst paying tribute to someone special or a cherished pet.
The walk will journey through the beautiful Dorset countryside, and give you the chance to celebrate & honour your loved one's memory.
The walk will start from the centre at 11am, and arrival will be welcome from 10am.
You'll be able to choose from a longer route, which will take in the wonderful rolling hills & stunning views of the Purbecks, or a shorter & gentler, but equally scenic, route. Our friendly team will be on-hand to guide you along the way.
Whether you decide to walk for a friend, family member or beloved animal, we welcome you to join us and reflect on their life & the love you shared together.

Route one
This route is 2 miles long and will take approximately 1 hour. The walk follows the footpath beside the centre, before heading through the surroundings fields and back along the village of Church Knowle. This option is relatively flat, with several stiles along the way, and includes gorgeous views of the local area.
Route two
This route is approximately 4.5 miles long and will take around 2 hours. The walk starts by passing through the village of Church Knowle, before taking you on a journey across beautiful fields to the edge of Corfe Castle.
You'll have the opportunity to admire the stunning castle from a short distance away, where you'll then follow the bottom of the ridgepath back to the centre. This option is the more challenging of the two, and includes several stiles, gates and footpaths across fields.
We kindly ask that all dogs remain on a lead and are comfortable around livestock, as some of the footpaths along both of the routes pass through fields that are home to local livestock.
