Curious George is a 9 month old male Labrador who really wants to show a new family what a good boy he can be!
This boy was very much loved but due to some unfortunate circumstances he missed out on getting to know the big wide world and learning about what a great place it can be. Although he takes a lot in his stride, this does mean he can become a little uncomfortable with new people and the unknown and will need his new owners to be by his side as he grows in confidence.
George is full of bounce and fun and has shown us how much he wants to play and interact with other dogs; he has got some equally energetic off lead pals here at Lincoln Farm. As he was unable to get out and about previously George can show some frustration and excitement on the lead when he sees other dogs but calms down quickly once he has had the chance to say hello. We are looking for a family that are happy to work on this with the lad, as we are sure with some consistent training and structured introductions this cheeky chap can have an abundance of friends.
We have slowly been introducing a headcollar to help make Georges walks more comfortable for all, he has been taking this on so quickly and we would be happy to show his new family how to carry on with this. He is such a smart boy and eager to learn and please, so with some boundaries put in place we know he is going to fit right in with a new family.
As he is super energetic and really smart, his ideal home will be somewhere that he can go out to quieter places to enjoy all the sniffs and grow in confidence, whilst he meets all his exercise needs but also with people who can provide him with lots of enrichment to get his Labrador brain working to its full potential.
As he can initially be a bit of a nervous nelly, we think George could live with older teenagers that can understand his needs and potentially a confident canine pal but feel he would be at his happiest without cats or small furries in the home.
