Here at Margaret Green Animal Rescue, we stand in support of Dogs Trust, Blue Cross and the RSPCA with their campaign for a phased end to Greyhound racing.

 

We regularly take in ex-racing Greyhounds at our rehoming centres, and it is often necessary for us to provide veterinary treatment for a variety of painful medical problems, that are sustained during racing.

 

 

We believe exploiting animals for their physical abilities in the name of entertainment is wrong, and animal welfare should always be the first priority, over and above the generation of income.

 

At Margaret Green Animal Rescue, we firmly believe that every animal deserves to live its life free from distress and pain, and enjoy physical and psychological stimulation. We remain committed to helping any Greyhounds that need us.
