We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Sponsored Walk on Sunday 10th April. It was great to welcome you all back to our Wingletang Centre and meet so many of your four-legged friends!

We are very thankful that the weather stayed dry and the sunshine even made an appearance, which created the perfect walking weather (that cool breeze was needed at points!). We set off from the centre at 11am and started the beautiful 6-mile route through the Devon countryside, with plenty of beautiful sights and sounds to be enjoyed.

We were also delighted to be joined by our new CEO, Nigel Mason, who had a great time meeting the attendees and getting to know everyone. Nigel is very much looking forward to attending the rest of our events later this year and hopes to meet more of our incredible supporters there.

After the trek back to the centre, everyone was greeted with plenty of tea and cakes. This was well deserved by all after a tiring but great day of walking. The cake was certainly very delicious, we would like to extend our thanks to the volunteers who baked the tasty goods! We couldn't forget the pups, so yummy dog biscuits were provided for them too. 

We are thrilled to share that over £1,450 has been raised through the event so far, with more to be added in the upcoming months.

We can’t thank everyone enough for coming along and taking part, to support the rescue animals in our care. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with you all and we look forward to doing it all again at our Walk-4-Rescue in September!
