Bear Growls (Reserved)

Name: Bear Growls (Reserved)
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Age: 2
Location: Dorset
Gender: Male
MGAR Reference: 55249
Dinky little “Bear Growls” may be small, but this is only in stature as he has a very big character which very quickly won over the hearts of all his carers.
This handsome chap is two and a half years old, and he is a terrier-dachshund mix who came into our care when his owner’s circumstances changed. He was a very loved pet, and we were told lots about his likes and dislikes so our team will be able to share that information with any prospective rehomers.
Bear is at his happiest when he is in the company of his human pals as he relishes in all the fuss and attention that comes with this and loves to take a nap perched on someone’s lap. He is also very cheeky and loves to throw his toys about and put on a bit of a show at the same time.
When out and about his terrier instincts come out to play and he loves using his nose to scope out everything around him. He can sometimes get a bit carried away with this and when his nose takes over he finds it quite hard to listen so his new owners will need to keep this in mind when they continue his training.
Bear is looking for a calm and patient family who will have lots of time to dedicate to his ongoing training and socialisation needs. This young lad can struggle around other dogs which can lead to some reactivity, so his new owners will need to advocate for him in these situations to help him form good habits.
We think Bear Growls will thrive in a home where he is the only pet, and we are looking to match him up with a family made up of adults and teenagers.
