Are you missing the feel of a loyal 4-legged companion, but are worried if you can provide the exercise needed? Do you have an enclosed garden that an older dog can sprawl out in and catch some rays, whilst also having a gentle potter around taking in all the sounds and smells. If your answer is yes then we may have the perfect match for you!

Currently in our care is a handsome laid-back chap called Kipper, he is a large sized (36kg+) 11 year old male X-breed that cannot wait to meet you. All he wants for his twilight years is a comfy bed, a gentle and kind understanding owner and some tasty treats to show him how good a boy he really is (although these will need to be limited/healthier treats to help him slim down).

Although needing to be limited the best way to this man’s heart is food, we have been breaking his treats up into tiny pieces, which he doesn’t seem to mind, and it has helped him make furever friends with the team and volunteers at Lincoln Farm. Another one of this cheeky chap’s favourites is a gentle neck and back scratch from his favourite carers.

Kipper’s previous owner’s circumstances had changed, which meant he was no longer coping very well with their routine, our team would be happy to discuss this with any family interested in finding out more about this gentleman.

From information given to us and from what we have seen ourselves, we feel that Kipper would feel more settled in a quiet adult only home environment as an only pet with no visiting children, this way kipper will be able to feel safe and at ease and get all the beauty sleep that he adores. As much as Kipper enjoys spending time with his favourite people, he can find it very difficult to be around strangers. For this reason, Kipper would much prefer to spend his time bimbling around a lovely enclosed garden spending time with new family, so he can fully relax and enjoy his retirement years.
