Festive Fun... The Margaret Green Animal Rescue Way!
10th Dec 2024Here we are again… with gifts to buy & wrap, cards to write, food shopping for the big day, decorating the tree, going to parties (if we’re lucky) and so much more!
An all-important part of the planning is keeping our beloved animals safe, entertained & calm during the run up to Christmas, and on the big day itself.
We would love to share a few ideas with you that may help, and can also be fun for you & your family to join in with…

And do remember…
Certain foods that tend to make an appearance on our human menus over the festive period, such as chocolate, raisins, grapes, & some foods with xylitol as an additive (like some peanut butters) can be very dangerous, and even fatal, if consumed by dogs.
We always recommend using positive reinforcement methods to train & interact with your animals, which can be great for welfare, reducing behaviour issues and increasing the human-animal bond & relationship. It’s also a highly effective training method.
If your dog or cat has specific behaviour or physical needs, please do consult your vet or Animal Behaviour & Training Council accredited behaviour & training practitioner.
