Please let us introduce you to marvellous Max, a one-year-old cocker spaniel who is desperate to find his forever home! In typical spaniel fashion, this handsome boy has bundles of energy and loves to sniff, snuffle and seek wherever he goes. Due to a difficult start in life, Max has taken some time to build confidence with new people, but once that bond has been created, he has shown his loving and affectionate personality. Because of this, we feel that Max would be best suited to a quiet adult only home, to allow trust to be built at his own pace.

Since being in our care, we have been introducing Max to the big wide world and have started his obedience training. When overwhelmed and overexcited, Max can become vocal so we have started to teach him to focus, which will help him to develop his confidence in new situations. We have found that the way to Max’s heart is through food and treats, which has been very helpful in implementing his training. We feel this training will need to be continued in his new home, so we are looking for a new family who have the time to continue this.

Max is a very active boy with bounds of energy and enthusiasm, who really wants to explore new places with his future family. We feel that he could live with another small or medium like-minded dog to discover these new places with and to provide support when he feels a little more unsure. His carers have realised just how much love this beautiful boy has to give and are so excited to introduce him to his new fur-ever family!
