Meet our braveheart, Rufus the Great! Rufus is a 2-year-old lurcher who came into us through the stray system and is full of love to give. The most rewarding thing is when Rufus feels comfortable enough to wiggle over to you with his happy tail wags at the kennel door and we can’t wait to show you this gorgeous boy in all his glory.

Due to coming into us as a stray, we unfortunately don’t have any background information on this sweet dog. However, in the time that he has been with us, he has really started to come out of his shell. He can find new things a little nerve-wracking but will still give them a go despite his fears. He really is a brave boy and has earnt his nickname of being a ‘braveheart’!

Rufus has also really enjoyed making fellow canine friends here and we feel that he would definitely enjoy living with another dog. Due to his breed, we would rather that he didn’t live with any cats or small fluffy animals.

Rufus would be best suited to a home with teenaged children and upwards who will understand that he needs to take things at his own pace, and that he will be the most rewarding companion when you earn his trust.
