This small but mighty character is Billy, who is a 3-year-old, male Pygmy goat. Billy came into our care via another organization, and it was clear that he’d sadly not had the best start in life.
Although he may be small in size, he certainly makes up for it in personality! He is very people-orientated and he enjoys running around his enclosure with his carers.
Having had very little life experiences before coming into our care, we have found that Billy has adapted well to every situation he has been presented with, from meeting new goats to being walked with a head collar and lead.
We feel that Billy would be best suited to a forever home that already has goats for him to live with and keep him company. The team also believes that his new friends should ideally be the same size as Billy, or larger, as he can be a bit boisterous at times.
He loves having plenty of enrichment in their pens to climb and play on, such as platforms and tree trunks, so it would be important for him to have the same opportunities available in his new home.
To ensure he can thrive all year round, we feel he would be best suited to a home with accommodation that has plenty of hardstanding and a big shelter, to help protect this little poppet from the wind and the rain in the colder months.
